David Yurman hosts an evening reception at his Forum Shop store inside Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas with a portion of the proceeds to
benefit the Junior League of Las Vegas. A combination of hors’
dourves, a great cause and fine jewels created a magical mix
of fundraising with plenty of fun and bling.
Yurman is well celebrated for his first trademark bracelet he
created in 1983 with his wife and business partner, Sybil, a
painter. The couple say they looked to the curves and textures
of nature for their helix cable design or the ‘swirl’ that is
captured throughout the labels signature designs.

five new collections,
dealing with specific colors like soft shades of sherbet
colors in pinks and blues. We are mixing colors right now,”
said Yurman.
Made mostly of sterling silver or gold, the bracelets are
often open-ended, with Romanesque finials and semiprecious
stones in infinite variations. The line has grown to include
brides, children and fragrances all with that special Yurman
twist.
A portion of the sales from today’s event will benefit the Las
Vegas Junior League, an organization of women who’s mission is
promote volunteerism, develop the potential of women and to
improve communities.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir proudly stakes his
claim as one of David Yurman’s most enthusiastic fans.”My wife
gets mad at me because she says I wear my favorite piece too
often – my Rhino bracelet,” said Mir.

UFC’s Frank Mir on Yurman artistry

Mir continues, “I am very much of fan of their jewelry. It
stands on it’s on. I’m an athlete who goes out and expresses
himself as a martial artist, so I put who I am and what I am
out there for people to see. I think that the Yurman’s do the
same thing when they go out there and put pieces forward. It’s
their thoughts and their ideas and their take on the artwork.”
Yurman has expanded his line to include fragrances. “We have
three new fragrances that are lighter than the earlier
fragrances,” said Yurman.
The fragrances called “The Essence Collection” are inspired by
gemstones; pink tourmaline for Delicate Essence, citrine for
Exotic Essence, and peridot for Fresh Essence.
Wearing a stunning blue topaz ring from the latest collection
Sybil Yurman, muse and wife of David Yurman for more than 30
years talks about their working relationship, “Our
collaboration requires a lot of work, a lot of kindness, a lot
of patience and a lot of fun. David draws everywhere he goes.
He is inspired by architecture, by a painting, he is touched
by a flower and then he draws.”

All of the collections are sold at David Yurman retail stores
and at authorized fine jewelry and timepiece retailers.
